joshsocial it's definitely an odd pick in the whitehouse catalogue, feeling more like a transition to the cut hands project. It's a fun transition however.

Bennet and Best are on full form with their confrontational vocal deliveries and the percussion is just as noisy and as confrontational.

A far cry from the screechiness of Erector and the psychedelia of Bird Seed but still an absolute corker of a listen that develops its own style and runs with it for its 30 min runtime.

RACKET was the 19th and final studio album by Whitehouse, released in CD format on 31st May, 2007. The 1500 copies pressed sold out very quickly and it has not to this date been reissued nor released on vinyl.

I cannot praise this album enough. This album is absolutely terrifying! The many starts and stops creates this very h settling tension. Each start expands on the stopper idea previously. It’s like the music equivalent of walking through thick fog while passing out multiple times throughout trying to find a place to orientate yourself. There may or may not be something sinister in that fog, but you don’t want to stick around to find out. Bought the vinyl so I summon the fog demons through spe showhornwithteeth
